Resident Activities Program

The philosophy of the Activities Department is to meet the mental, social, spiritual, recreational, educational, cultural and creative needs of the residents of the Minnewaska Lutheran Home. The Activities team uses, to the fullest possible extent, community, social and recreational opportunities. Residents are encouraged, and have the choice to participate in such activities daily as well as one-to-one visits with staff and volunteers. Weekend and evening activities are also offered. The Activities staff encourages and provides the necessary materials for individual pursuits, such as reading, craft work and music listening. Residents also have the opportunity to be actively involved in our facility through Resident Council and resident volunteering.
